It is non-toxic, exhibits excellent thermal stability, high hydrogen and oxygen evolution overpotential. Its outstanding properties including corrosion resistance, wear resistance, superior electrical conductivity, and remarkable chemical stability. These attributes make it highly valuable across industries such as electrocatalytic oxidation for wastewater treatment, marine anti-corrosion, and as a conductive additive. Deze kan worden gevisualiseerd als een netwerk van TiO\u2082-octa\u00ebders, maar met een belangrijk verschil: periodieke zuurstoftekorten. Zo vormt zich in Ti\u2084O\u2087 na elke paar lagen TiO\u2082 een laag met zuurstofvacatures. Dit cre\u00ebert een kristallografisch schuifvlak. Binnen deze zuurstofarme lagen liggen de titaniumatomen dichter bij elkaar en vormen ze geleidende ketens of banden. Deze accu&#039;s zijn naar verluidt lichter (40%), kleiner (20%) en bieden een hogere energiedichtheid (40%) met een meer dan 100% langere levensduur in vergelijking met traditionele loodzuuraccu&#039;s. Ze zijn ook milieuvriendelijker: ze gebruiken minder lood (50%) en genereren minder CO\u2082 tijdens de productie (80%). Het verbetert de kathodegeleiding, zorgt voor een gelijkmatige stroomverdeling, verhoogt het ontladingsspanningsplatform en verhoogt het gebruik van actief materiaal. Kathodische bescherming en anticorrosiecoatings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Titaniumsuboxide biedt een hoge geleidbaarheid (overtreft grafeen in sommige metingen), is bestand tegen zuren\/basen, heeft een hoge absorptie van uv-straling, is zeer thermisch stabiel en is goed dispergeerbaar in water en harsen. De combinatie van geleidbaarheid en inertheid maakt het ideaal voor langdurige bescherming in zware omstandigheden, zoals maritieme engineering en chemische apparatuur. De toevoeging van titaniumsuboxidedeeltjes aan corrosiewerende coatings (bijv. epoxy, polyurethaan) bevordert een gelijkmatige ladingsverdeling, waardoor lokale galvanische corrosie wordt voorkomen. Studies tonen aan dat coatings die gemodificeerd zijn met titaniumsuboxide sneller kathodische bescherming bieden en deze langer behouden in vergelijking met coatings met traditionele inerte vulstoffen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-ast-global-color-0-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7d6bf3e623bf9e5c5e42fa865a40445b\">6. Geavanceerde pigmenten<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De hoge geleidbaarheid van titaniumsuboxiden uit de Magn\u00e9li-fase maakt hun gebruik in antistatische en geleidende pigmenten voor coatings en inkten mogelijk. Ze kunnen roetzwart vervangen om diepzwarte, geleidende coatings met superieure weerbestendigheid te cre\u00ebren. Bovendien absorbeert hun kristalstructuur zichtbaar licht sterk, wat resulteert in een diepgrijze tot zwarte kleur. Ze zijn hittebestendiger dan roetzwart (geschikt voor keramiek en hogetemperatuurcoatings) en zijn niet-giftig, waardoor ze een potenti\u00eble vervanging vormen voor gevaarlijke zwarte pigmenten op basis van kobalt of chroom. Composietpigmenten met TiO\u2082 kunnen ook worden ontwikkeld om de fotokatalytische activiteit te reguleren, UV-degradatie te verminderen en de duurzaamheid en antifoulingeigenschappen van de coating te verbeteren. Om de hoogste prestaties te bereiken, moet contaminatie tijdens de verwerking worden vermeden. Straalfrezen, ook wel bekend als luchtstraalfrezen of vloeistofenergiefrezen, is de voorkeurstechniek voor het verpulveren van titaniumsuboxide.
