It is a semiconductor and occurs naturally in the extremely rare mineral moissanite. Silicon carbide is commonly available in two varieties: black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide, both of which are \u03b1-SiC. The particle size of silicon carbide ground by jet milling typically ranges from 3 to 100 microns (d97). It&#8217;s depending on the type of equipment, process parameters, and raw material characteristics. Black silicon carbide contains approximately 95% SiC and has higher toughness than green silicon carbide. It is mainly used for processing materials with low tensile strength. Het wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor het bewerken van hardmetaal, titaniumlegeringen en optisch glas. Slijpgereedschappen die hiervan gemaakt zijn, kunnen de oppervlakteruwheid in \u00e9\u00e9n bewerking terugbrengen van Ra 32\u20130,16 micron naar Ra 0,04\u20130,02 micron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toepassingen van siliciumcarbide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dankzij de stabiele chemische eigenschappen, hoge thermische geleidbaarheid, lage thermische uitzettingsco\u00ebffici\u00ebnt en uitstekende slijtvastheid kent siliciumcarbide vele toepassingen naast schuurmiddelen. Bijvoorbeeld: met een speciaal proces kan siliciumcarbidepoeder worden aangebracht op de binnenwanden van turbinewaaiers of cilinderblokken, waardoor de slijtvastheid wordt verbeterd en de levensduur met 1 tot 2 keer wordt verlengd. Hoogwaardige vuurvaste materialen gemaakt van siliciumcarbide bieden thermische schokbestendigheid, compactheid, een laag gewicht, hoge sterkte en energie-effici\u00ebntie. Laagwaardig siliciumcarbide (ongeveer 85% SiC) dient als een uitstekende deoxidator in de staalproductie, verbetert de staalkwaliteit en vergemakkelijkt de samenstellingscontrole. Dit is afhankelijk van het type apparatuur, de procesparameters en de eigenschappen van de grondstof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typische deeltjesgrootte: Frezen met een wervelbedstraal zorgt voor een geconcentreerde deeltjesgrootteverdeling. Er is geen sprake van oververmaling en doorgaans wordt een d97 van 3-100 micron bereikt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deeltjesvorm en -verdeling: De resulterende deeltjes hebben een goede vorm en een smalle deeltjesgrootteverdeling. Eigenschappen van de grondstof<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De hardheid, zuiverheid en andere eigenschappen van siliciumcarbide be\u00efnvloeden ook de moeilijkheidsgraad van het verpulveren. Over het algemeen maken hogere hardheid en zuiverheid het materiaal moeilijker te vermalen, maar door procesparameters te optimaliseren, kunnen straalmolens toch effici\u00ebnt verpulveren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Voordelen van straalfrezen voor siliciumcarbide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Geen slijtage van de bekleding: wervelbedstraalmolens kunnen producten van verschillende hardheden vermalen zonder bekleding.
