Volgens de consensus in de Chinese mineraalverwerkende industrie zijn ultrafijne poeders materialen met 100% deeltjes kleiner dan 30 \u03bcm. Nanomaterialen worden veel gebruikt. Ze klonteren gemakkelijk samen, waardoor ze hun oorspronkelijke eigenschappen verliezen. Dit vermindert hun waarde en bemoeilijkt zowel de bereiding als de opslag. Agglomeratie is daarom een belangrijk technisch probleem dat de ontwikkeling van nanomaterialen beperkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Agglomeratie van ultrafijne poeders<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Agglomeratie verwijst naar het proces waarbij primaire poederdeeltjes zich tijdens de bereiding, scheiding, verwerking of opslag verbinden en grotere clusters vormen. Momenteel zijn er drie belangrijke oorzaken van agglomeratie van ultrafijn poeder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Intermoleculaire krachten<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanneer minerale deeltjes overgaan in ultrafijne deeltjes, wordt de afstand tussen hen zeer klein. Vanderwaalskrachten overtreffen dan de zwaartekracht van de deeltjes zelf, wat leidt tot aantrekking en agglomeratie. Waterstofbruggen, geadsorbeerde vochtbruggen en andere chemische bindingen op het oppervlak van de deeltjes bevorderen ook adhesie en clustering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Elektrostatische krachten<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tijdens ultrafijn slijpen zorgen impact en wrijving ervoor dat deeltjes positieve of negatieve ladingen op hun oppervlak opbouwen. Sommige uitsteeksels op een deeltje kunnen positief geladen zijn, terwijl andere negatief geladen zijn. Deze onstabiele, geladen deeltjes trekken elkaar aan \u2013 vooral op scherpe punten \u2013 wat resulteert in agglomeratie. De belangrijkste drijvende kracht in dit proces is elektrostatische aantrekkingskracht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hechting in de lucht<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanneer de relatieve luchtvochtigheid hoger is dan 65%, condenseert waterdamp op en tussen deeltjes. Hierdoor ontstaan vloeistofbruggen die de agglomeratie aanzienlijk bevorderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bovendien absorberen minerale materialen tijdens het breken mechanische of thermische energie. Hierdoor krijgen nieuw gevormde ultrafijne deeltjes een hoge oppervlakte-energie, waardoor ze instabiel worden. Om deze energie te verminderen, bewegen de deeltjes zich van nature dichter naar elkaar toe en klonteren ze samen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agglomeratie van nanomaterialen omvat zachte en harde soorten. <em>Zachte agglomeratie<\/em>\u00a0wordt veroorzaakt door vanderwaals- en intermoleculaire krachten en is relatief eenvoudig omkeerbaar. <em>Harde agglomeratie<\/em>\u00a0is complexer, met vijf hoofdtheorie\u00ebn: capillaire adsorptie, waterstofbruggen, kristalbruggen, chemische binding en diffusie van atomen aan het oppervlak. Er is echter nog geen eenduidige verklaring geaccepteerd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ondanks deze uitdagingen is er uitgebreid onderzoek gedaan naar de ontwikkeling van dispersietechnologie\u00ebn om agglomeratie te voorkomen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dispersie van ultrafijne poeders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dispersietechnieken richten zich hoofdzakelijk op twee toestanden: dispersie in gasfasemedia en in vloeistoffasemedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"431\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-10.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15126\" style=\"width:643px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-10.webp 431w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-10-300x101.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-10-18x6.webp 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Dispersie in vloeibare fase<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. <strong>Mechanische dispersie<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This method uses external mechanical energy\u2014such as shear or impact\u2014to disperse nanoparticles in a medium. Common techniques include grinding, ball milling, vibration milling, colloid milling, air jet milling, and mechanical stirring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zodra deeltjes echter het turbulente veld verlaten dat door het roeren ontstaat, kunnen ze opnieuw klonteren. Daarom levert de combinatie van mechanische dispersie en chemische dispergeermiddelen vaak betere resultaten op.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. <strong>Chemische dispersie<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Deze methode, die veel wordt gebruikt in de industrie, omvat het toevoegen van elektrolyten, oppervlakteactieve stoffen of polymeerdispergeermiddelen aan een suspensie van ultrafijne poeders. Deze middelen adsorberen aan het oppervlak van de deeltjes, veranderen de oppervlakte-eigenschappen en verbeteren de compatibiliteit met de vloeistoffase, wat leidt tot een betere dispersie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veelgebruikte dispergeermiddelen zijn onder andere oppervlakteactieve stoffen, laagmoleculaire anorganische zouten, polymeerdispergeermiddelen en koppelingsmiddelen. Polymeerdispergeermiddelen \u2013 met name polyelektrolyten \u2013 behoren tot de meest gebruikte en effectieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>Ultrasone dispersie<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij ultrasoon dispersie wordt een suspensie in een ultrasoon veld geplaatst en wordt de juiste frequentie en duur toegepast om een effectieve deeltjesscheiding te bereiken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"692\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-11.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15127\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-11.webp 692w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-11-300x203.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-11-18x12.webp 18w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-11-600x407.webp 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultrageluid genereert lokaal hoge temperaturen, hoge druk, sterke schokgolven en microjets. Deze krachten verzwakken de interacties tussen deeltjes en bevorderen de verspreiding. Oververhitting moet echter worden vermeden: overmatige thermische en mechanische energie kan de botsingsfrequentie verhogen en de agglomeratie verergeren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dispersie in de gasfase<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. <strong>Droge dispersie<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In vochtige lucht vormen zich vloeistofbruggen tussen deeltjes, wat leidt tot agglomeratie. Het drogen van vaste stoffen omvat twee basisstappen: verhitting om vocht te verdampen en het laten diffunderen van damp naar de gasfase. Het verwijderen of verbreken van vloeistofbruggen is essentieel voor het behoud van een goede dispersie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De meeste poederproductieprocessen omvatten thermisch drogen als voorbehandelingsstap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. <strong>Mechanische dispersie<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Deze methode maakt gebruik van mechanische krachten \u2013 zoals schuif- en drukspanning \u2013 die groter zijn dan de hechtingskrachten van deeltjes om clusters te verbreken. Veelvoorkomende bronnen zijn onder meer snel roterende waaiers, schijven of hogesnelheidsluchtstralen die intense turbulentie veroorzaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"269\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-12.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15128\" style=\"width:594px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-12.webp 269w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/640-12-11x12.webp 11w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 269px) 100vw, 269px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mechanische dispergeermethode is relatief eenvoudig te implementeren. Omdat het echter een geforceerd proces is, kunnen deeltjes die de dispergeermachine verlaten, opnieuw klonteren. Het kan ook kwetsbare deeltjes beschadigen en leiden tot verminderde effectiviteit naarmate de apparatuur slijt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electrostatics\">Elektrostatisch<\/a> Dispersie<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Deeltjes van hetzelfde materiaal met identieke ladingen stoten elkaar af door elektrostatische kracht. Dit principe wordt gebruikt voor dispersie \u2013 als deeltjes volledig geladen kunnen worden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oplaadmethoden zijn onder andere contact-, inductie- en corona-oplading. Corona-oplading is hiervan het meest effectief. Het cre\u00ebert een ionengordijn door middel van corona-ontlading, waardoor deeltjes gelijkmatig worden geladen. De resulterende afstotende krachten helpen de verspreiding te behouden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusie<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Er bestaan veel methoden voor het modificeren van ultrafijne poeders, die sterk verschillen van de hierboven besproken hoofdbenaderingen. We moeten zowel modificatieprocessen optimaliseren op basis van diepgaande studies als composiettechnieken ontwikkelen die meerdere functies vervullen.
