Er is een veelvoorkomende misvatting dat het gedrag van een poeder eenvoudigweg kan worden beschreven door de stromingseigenschappen ervan te begrijpen. Deze eigenschappen zijn <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Discrete\">discreet<\/a>, kwantificeerbaar met een enkel getal. Helaas zijn beide idee\u00ebn onjuist. Daarom begrijpen we zelfs in de 21e eeuw nog steeds niet volledig het gedrag van poeders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stel je een glazen pot voor met los poeder. Denk na over hoe het poeder zich gedraagt als de pot omvalt. Denk na over hoe het poeder zich anders gedraagt als de pot wordt opgepakt en herhaaldelijk op een hard oppervlak wordt getikt. Elk verschil in het gedrag van een poeder in zijn losse staat versus zijn gecompacteerde staat is te danken aan zijn eigenschappen. Als het poeder bijvoorbeeld lijkt op droog zand, kan het gedrag voor en na het verdichten ongeveer hetzelfde zijn. Als het poeder echter lijkt op bloem, kunnen er na het verdichten heel verschillende vloei-eigenschappen worden waargenomen. Dit is een belangrijke en typische eigenschap van poeders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"241\" src=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Powder-characteristics.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14896\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Powder-characteristics.webp 500w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Powder-characteristics-300x145.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.epicmicron.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Powder-characteristics-18x9.webp 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoewel deze eigenschappen cruciaal zijn voor het begrijpen van het gedrag van poeder, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/External_variable\">externe variabelen<\/a>\u2014zoals de mate van beluchting of consolidatie\u2014zijn even belangrijk. De chemische en fysieke eigenschappen van de deeltjes veranderen niet in deze toestanden. Het zijn de hoeveelheid lucht en de contactdruk tussen de deeltjes die ervoor zorgen dat de stroming aanzienlijk verschilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Invloed van externe variabelen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoals in de vorige voorbeelden is getoond, gedragen poeders zich heel anders wanneer ze belucht, los of geconsolideerd zijn. Sommige poeders zijn erg gevoelig voor deze variabelen, terwijl andere dat niet zijn. Sommige poeders kunnen goed vloeien wanneer ze belucht en los zijn, maar problemen veroorzaken wanneer ze geconsolideerd zijn (zoals toner). Andere poeders kunnen redelijk (goed) vloeien wanneer ze los zijn, en niet veel effect hebben wanneer ze geconsolideerd zijn, maar een echte verbetering in vloei hebben wanneer ze belucht zijn (zoals keramische poeders, zie video). Op basis van deze observaties is het onwaarschijnlijk dat \u00e9\u00e9n enkel getal adequaat beschrijft hoe een poeder zal reageren op grote hoeveelheden beluchting of hoge niveaus van consolidatie tijdens verwerking en toepassing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat betreft vloei-eigenschappen zijn consolidatiespanning en luchtgehalte de twee variabelen die de grootste invloed hebben. Het poedergedrag wordt echter ook be\u00efnvloed door verwerkingssnelheden, zoals mengsnelheid of lijnvulsnelheid, evenals andere factoren zoals omgevingsvochtigheidsniveaus en opslagtijd. Zelfs als poeders door een eenvoudige transportgoot gaan, kan er lucht worden ge\u00efntroduceerd en kan er consolidatie optreden. Poeders zetten uit en de deeltjes worden verder uit elkaar geplaatst wanneer ze worden belucht. Dit gebeurt in veel processen, waaronder meng-, vul- en losbewerkingen. Zelfs wanneer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidswiki.com\/index.php\/Pneumatic_Conveying_Systems\">pneumatisch transport<\/a> zonder externe luchttoevoer wordt niet gebruikt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erkennen dat een van deze externe variabelen het poedergedrag kan veranderen, is de eerste stap naar een beter begrip van de procesprestaties. Vervolgens kan het meten van de reactie van het poeder op verschillende externe variabelen inzicht bieden in waarom het poeder zich op een bepaalde manier gedraagt en kansen bieden om zowel de formulering als de productie-effici\u00ebntie te optimaliseren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Invloed van deeltjeseigenschappen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Naast de externe variabelen zijn er nog veel meer deeltjeseigenschappen die het gedrag van losse poeders be\u00efnvloeden. Deeltjes zijn complex en er zijn veel te veel parameters om ze volledig te beschrijven. Deeltjesgrootte en <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Particle-size_distribution\">grootteverdeling<\/a> worden vaak overwogen, en deze twee parameters zijn nog steeds belangrijk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er zijn echter veel andere deeltjeseigenschappen die het algehele gedrag van het poeder be\u00efnvloeden. Sommige kunnen direct worden gemeten, terwijl andere moeilijker te kwantificeren zijn. Ze kunnen echter allemaal van invloed zijn op de manier waarop een poeder zich gedraagt. Gezien de complexiteit en verscheidenheid van deeltjeseigenschappen en externe variabelen, is het voorspellen van poedergedrag met behulp van elementaire wiskundige methoden extreem moeilijk, zo niet
